Pay the SEVIS fee and apply for an F-1 Visa
- Gather the following materials needed for visa interview
- Form I-20 (or Form DS-2019 for Exchange students)
- Letter of admission from Southern Utah University

- Evidence of financial ability to meet expenses
- Evidence of English ability sufficient for course of study
- Evidence of intent to depart the U.S. after completion of studies
- Valid passport

Activate your My91ɬÂþ Portal and complete course registration

- Go to the 91ɬÂþ Homepage
- Select 'My91ɬÂþ' and click 'Activate Account' or follow login prompt instructions
- Hint: your T-Number is your student ID number at 91ɬÂþ
- Meet with your Academic Advisor.

- You must be registered for 6 credits as an international student in a graduate program. If you need assistance, contact your program coordinator.

- Complete your learning agreement.
- The classes you choose must be approved by your university.
- You must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits at 91ɬÂþ. All course numbers must be below 5000, unless you are enrolled in an 91ɬÂþ Master's Program.
- Please list at least 3 extra classes and rank them to indicate which of the classes you are most interested in. Please note that courses are not guaranteed and are based off of availability.

Intensive English Program (IEP) Students: placement testing will be held during International Orientation. This is not required if you provide us with official test results for the TOEFL, IELTS or iTEP.
Student Housing
- Students should secure housing as soon as possible. Housing fills up very quickly. Choose from one of the following options:
- Campus Housing - Turn in a housing application to internationalarrivals@suu.edu to secure your spot! The Cottages are available for graduate students.
- Off-Campus Housing - If you prefer to live off-campus, please contact us at internationalarrivals@suu.edu for off-campus housing options.

International Orientation & Thunder U
- Incoming international students are required to attend International Orientation and Thunder U.
- No registration is required
- Intensive English Program (IEP) Students are not required to attend.
Travel Arrangements
- Reserve a seat on our free shuttle from the following airports on the specific date provided

- Students need to arrive at the airport before 6:00PM (18:00) in order to use our shuttle service.

Health Insurance and Medical Care
- As an international student, you are required by the U.S. government to
- have an active health insurance policy
- have two doses of the MMR vaccine (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
- be tested for tuberculosis (TB) or show proof of vaccination against TB
- All immunizations MUST be done 30 days prior to your arrival.
- You MUST have an insurance policy within 30 days after your arrival.
- 91ɬÂþ recommends as an insurance provider.
